Bunker Monitoring

The constantly growing requirement for high quality bunker products have increased the demand for control of the production parameters like Viscosity, Density and Temperature.

This control can be accomplished by using the CBI in-line Bunker Monitor, which has the added benefit of securing exact volumetric delivery of the product.

There are many advantages of the CBI Bunker Monitoring system, including

Constant and consistent quality

  • Logging parameters from batch blending
  • Automatic adjustment of blending ratio
  • In-line Density control
The CBI Bunker Monitor is developed based on many years of field experience and is made to become very simple to operate.

To secure accurate and reliable readings, the system takes actual operational parameters into account and is part of the design when the Sensors are placed.

The CBI Bunker Monitor is adjustable on site, without interruption during bunker operation. This is just one of the reasons for the low maintenance cost.

An integrated flush-system allows batch switching in a fast and flexible way, while maintaining the accurate readings of the sensor.

Bunker Identification Concept

CBI has compiled many years of industry experience into our unique Bunker Identification Concept. The concept was developed to improve the competitive advantage in the day-to-day bunker operation.

The "Bunker Identification Concept" is a remarkable tool for Physical Bunker Operators to optimize and increase profits and operation.

The CBI Bunker Identification Concept has 4 stages

  1 - Objective
Present and future bunker opportunities will be defined by making a SWOT analysis defining the success criteria for the project.

  2 - Bunker Process Analysis
Site inspection, analysis of present operation, evaluation of present technology and calculation of potential savings and improved earnings through implementation of a new Bunker Concept using the Best Available Technology.

  3 - Bunker Concept Description
Business improvements through access to Bunker fuels globally, technology upgrade and the financial impact on the business.

  4 - Implementation plan
Prioritized activities, investment plan and project descriptions, time schedule and cost benefits of different actions and activities.
