PC-Operated automatic Fuel-Blender launched on mother vessel in Jeddah...
27-09-2006
CBI has just finished the commissioning of the Fuel-Blending system on board the vessel APSCO 6 in Jeddah. The new generation of Windows-based software with printout of viscosity, temperature, heavy and light fuel volumes, etc. has ensured easy operation and secured documentation of all bunker fuels given to the operating vessels of APSCO. Also the use of light fuel has been reduced significant, when blending to a desired viscosity. Even though the heat is up to 46 degrees C in the shadow at daytime, none of the components has been troubled, as operation and signaling has been sturdy during all time operation.
The blending system has also been welcomed from the crew, as it is giving them full control of volumes delivered, actual pumping rate and delivered viscosity and temperature, leaving them in full control during the full operation.

Fuel Blender supplies to Russia...
21-3-06
CBI has in the beginning of the year supplied fuel blending in all parts of Russian Federation, going from the Black Sea in the south, to Murmansk in the north, Kaliningrad in the western part, and as far as Vladivostok in east. We have visited the customers by request, which has resulted in delivery of Flex-Blenders in three Export Regions of Russia.

The new PC-operated interface in the CBI automation increase the interest, but also the high oil prices has affected the interest of blending fuel qualities, due to higher accuracy and less "give away" of the bunker fuel turnover .. From Refinery to Ship Owner

You can red more about the new PC-operated Flex-Blender elsewhere on the CBI news page.

PC-operated interface for the automatic fuel blender...
12-3-06
CBI has since november 2005 been working to increase the level of our Flex-Blender Automation, which now has resulted in releasing the new PC-operated interface for the automatic fuel blenders.

The software, in a full screen bunker programme, show the user the most wanted figures during blending, such as "volume given to customer", "instant pumping speed to customer manifold", "viscosity at 50 deg", "actual temperature", "actual viscosity", and has given the operator a more modern user-interface, easy to operate, easy to understand and with a "one click" printout of the Bunker Delivery Note (BDN).

From CBI, we look very much forward to get feedback from our customers on the latest developed version, which has now been installed in three different locations.
